In my role as Chair of the Society of Homeopaths, we visited parliament this week as guests of David Tredinnick MP, to see a presentation by the Confederation of Healing organisations. It was great to network with healers, doctors and others interested in complementary medicine (CAM). Interesting meta analysis research undertaken by the University of Northampton showed a clear effect present from ‘non touch’ healing interventions. There was also a general call for more compassion, holistic care and humanity to be shown both towards patients and towards those struggling to make the NHS work. As homeopaths, we want to support this call. With an election coming up, now is the time to tell your elected representatives that you would like to see an increase in the availability of CAM for you and your family.
